How much does a tattoo from you cost?
Price is very dependant on the piece specifically. Size, detail, complexity and placement all play a role in determining the price of a tattoo.
A lot of artists price by the hour, but others, like myself price by the piece. So however long the tattoo takes to complete, the initial quote will be honored.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Short answer - Yes
Long answer - Everyone has different pain thresholds. So its difficult to say if one individual will find it easier than another. Placement also plays a huge role in pain, more tender areas like the ribs, feet and hands will be higher on the pain scale. Generally placements over more muscular or fatty areas are easier to sit for, thigh, upper arm or calf for example.

Can I get a tattoo over an existing one?
Yes, but it is important to make sure that the new piece is able to cover the existing one well enough, so you will need to have a discussion with me about possible options in terms of design choice and placement.

How should I prepare for my tattoo?
Please try and make sure you are healthy and well, as being ill will compromise your immune system, making healing your tattoo much harder.
Make sure to have a shower before coming to your appointment
Please do not shave the area due to be tattooed as I always prefer to do this at the start of your sitting to mitigate the chances of shaving rash.
Make sure you are well hydrated and have had a decent meal before your sitting.
Wear appropriate clothing that will allow full access to the area being tattooed, but also make sure you are comfortable.
Always remember to bring photo ID.

How long will my tattoo take to heal?
Tattoo healing time can vary from person to person and depends on several factors, including the size and complexity of the tattoo, your overall health, and how well you follow the aftercare instructions provided by your tattoo artist. Generally, the healing process follows this rough timeline:
Initially healing - first few days. You may experience plasma, swelling and slight soreness. It's essential to keep the tattoo clean and follow proper aftercare instructions during this period.
Scabbing and peeling - 1-3 weeks. Your tattoo will dry out, scab over and start to peel. During this period you may experience some itchiness. It's crucial not to pick at or scratch the scabs, as this can cause fall out or in severe cases, scarring.
Final healing and settling - 4-6 weeks. By the end of the fourth to sixth week, your tattoo should be mostly healed. However, the skin may continue to undergo subtle changes and settle over the following weeks. The colors may appear more vibrant as the tattoo fully matures.
After this your tattoo will still be healing under the surface of the skin for up to 12 weeks to keep taking care of it throughout the duration of its healing process.
